Assessment1 - The Tray
Process
Step1: Choose a corner radius from the layer cut circle template.
Step2: Use a Disc Sander to form the edge of the timber templates follow the corner radius I have chosen.
Step3: Mark out the tray on aluminium sheet, 10mm offset from the timber hammer forming bucks to the aluminium. Than cut the edge with a snip.
Step4: Sandwiched the aluminium sheet between two hammer forming bucks, and tight them up with the bench vice. Then hammered around the edge to form the tray.
At this step to much force can damage the timber template and shrinking into the timber, and as the aluminium stretching excess scrap occurred on the corner.
Step5: File the edge of the tray, make the tray flat and even.
